others have no choice.

Our kids made a choice,

they look up from their tents at night and see beyond!

They see beyond their neighborhood, their god, their accidental place of birth.

They see beyond their skin,

their desires,

their comfort,

their privilege.

They hear the mother’s in Gaza,

the fathers in Rafah,

and the children everywhere.

They hear the screams, the bombs, the tears, and the pain,

they looked to each other and said,

“Let’s go camping!”
